If I could be a psychologist; I would study the great thinkers of the world past and present and developed a technique to help people better under stand themselves as they go through mental traumas. A way to clean the mind with self-made inhibiters. Cute down on the time currently required analyzing and helping a patient. The human genome was designed to be self sufficient without the aid of antidepressants and stimulants. I would work to find the key to unlock those imprisoned in their mental instability.

If I could be a professor, I would want to be like one of my deceased best friends who taught PHD teachers. His specialty was special education to the handicapped, mentally or physically. His Tec neck was one of love and acceptance of the handicapped what ever their state of life. This was foremost in his canceling teachers. He always said if this was not present they had chosen the wrong field. His door was always open to them 24/7 and he encouraged them to co tack him if they had any difficulty. Although short of statue, he was a giant among his pears!

If I could be a linguist, I would work with the peace core. Travel the world telling people we are the same no mater where you live. Same desires, dreams and wishes far our family. Material things are needed but mental understanding I belive is a must. Now the world sees us as takers more than givers. Those countries that have very little or nothing to give get little notice! Religion has been brought to the coroners of the earth how many have been gone to out of human dignity and love of our fellow man?

If I could be a musician, I would like to emulate the one who said, “I write the words the whole world sings.” I belive Mantalo said this any way music is a language understood the world over. Most is mood sating and beautiful to listen to. I would like to write and play music that would want to be played over and over again. Not hear today and gone tomorrow, like so much of our music is today. In our throw away society must our music be forgotten with every generation. Every thing today is written for money if you enjoy it you may buy it. What is the last thing you heard that was written for your pleasure no charge?

If I could be a painter, I take this to be an artist I would paint what I see. Sounds strange but let me explain. Have you ever taken a picture with a camera and it did not turn out as you saw it? This is what a mean! The Mona Lisa smile, Salvador Dilly three-dimensional concept. To be able to transcend space and time, capturing the essence of my subject be it a thing, place or person! So life like you can séance its realism! Breathe in the subject and exhale with a brush stroke of immortality.

Your‘r were?

Hi gang; the eagle flies today. I hope all of you have grate planes for the weekend! With the boys here I am just going to yaks one day at a time.

There is no way I will keep up with them. Yesterday after getting up around noon, they played ball and through a Frisbee. Then went into town and called back to ask how to get back to the house. I asked where are you and my grandson said we’re at Hooters!

Last night my son took them down to the strip at the university. He came in around midnight they came in around 4:00am! My sister-in-law took off work today to be with them on the lake; she has called already wanting to no when they will be over. LOL! How about some time this afternoon!
I did get pix of the Crew…

Their Here

Hi gang; the boys came in around 5:00am this morning. They made it from Chicago in 10 hours. I went out to get the paper at 6:00am and they were sleeping in the car. LOL! They said we didn’t want to wake you guys up!

They went up to my sons place to sleep. They have a full weekend planed. Three bachelors in there twenties, I think I know where they want to go.

I installed loveasoft add ware last night and caught five spy ware in my system. Also Zone alarm updated yesterday and has been advising me of intruders!

One thing I had suspicions of is happening, I was on a blog and my firewall stopped an intruder from coming in. I have a feeling people are not aware they have spy ware that is being launched from their computer.

There is always some @#$%^& ding trying to mess you up!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, conceder you blessed if some one is bugging you, the good Lord has found something for them to do!

Where did it go?

Hi gang; Hump day already I hope every one is having a good week. It rained all day here yesterday until about 5:00pm then the sun came out to say good night! LOL! Suppose to be in the 80s today. The ground is so wet not much I can do outside without getting muddy.

Do you ever look to see how much room you have left on your hard drive? I run a spy check, disk clean up and defrag every week. Doing this I see what I have left on my hard drive.

Last week I saw that I had used one gig on my hard drive? That is a lot for one week! I have no idea where it went. I had this happen last year on a larger scale and had to have my hard drive reformatted!

Where is it going? I have anti various and a fire wall no indication any thing is wrong. There is no way I could be using that much space! Ok you geeks out any ideas are suggestions?

We are bracing for the Chicago grand kids to come in tomorrow morning. They call every day with a packing report! I think they have every hour planed. LOL!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, if you don’t understand something, just think of the trouble the originator must have had!

FOUR

Good morning gang, raining here and is suppose to all day, my dogs will love this, they don’t want to go out in the rain. Hey, neither do I! I played golf yester day. It was on the cool side but we had a good day. The water birds where putting on a show flying back and forth around the lake. They are so beautiful to watch.

None of us had a real good round. I did well on the front and fell apart on the back. However we got out and enjoyed the day. One of our groups helps his son with his construction company. They have thirty homes under construction and had planes for sixty more and the land deal fell through. Any way he and I were together and he keep getting phone calls. I thought it was funny, he would sort of hunch over walking a round talking. They were calling him about nothing important but he would not tell them he was playing golf!

On the home front my wife has three evening meetings this week at church. I told her she should get her a cot and stay there. LOL! She didn’t think it was funny. I just keep putting my foot in my mouth. We have company coming this Thursday. My oldest daughters two boys and two of their friends are coming down for a long weekend. They go back Sunday. They are bringing a skidoo with them, I hope it worms up. It’s a bit early to play in the water!

Megan is getting into her soft ball and Scott is helping couch. Their first game was Friday. We went and cheered her on. They had a grate time. Guess what no one was keeping score! The scoreboard wasn’t working. LOL! Course we told her they won! Ah …I… Don’t know!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, don’t let the rain spoil your day. Heck the fish love it!

Sunday, April 24, 2005

Hi gang, the day has gotten away from me. I hope every one has had a grand weekend. My granddaughter and kids came in from the trip to Texas. I thought she had gone to Houston but she went to Galveston.

Her and the kids were on the beach far eight days. Needless to say they loved it. I told her about David in Austin and she said that was about 8hrs away! I forgot how big Texas is. Excuse me!

The kids played out side all day on the trampoline. Robert is so funny to watch jumping around. He is like a little monkey on that thing! I worried about them getting cold but everyone keep saying they were moving too much to get cold. Yea right, that’s why they have a cold all the time!

Thought for the day, I keep running into articles about my illness, I try to take this is prayer reminders!

Thinking of you

Hi gang, I have been sating here for a good half hour thinking of all of you and how our lives interconnect. I am not the same person because of this connection. Not that I have changed in a way you can see but inwardly. I have become more than I use to be. My life will never be the same, I posses your thoughts and you mine. We have become a blending of humanity!

Truth or fiction we are one in a world of cyberspace. Separated only by longitude and latitude. I find myself wondering where your at and what your doing. Is it cold or hot? What mood your in happy or sad. Are you up yet are sleeping in because it’s the weekend? Do you have planes for the day? Or are you thinking of me?

I suppose I am getting melancholia because I’m afraid I will wake up and not be able to communicate! I am not able to talk to any one like I do too you. In a way that’s sad that my closest friends and relatives don’t know me as you do! I keep hearing Job’s words, “ The Lord gives and the Lord takes away blessed be the name of the lord”!

Thought for the day, I don’t remember the name of the song but it is haunting me today “ Will you still love me tomorrow!”

Friday, April 22, 2005

Now and again

Hi gang; well it’s that time of the week again. I hope all have grate planes. I put my head ach in a box and labeled it don’t come back! It was a mean one. Suppose to rain today and clear some of the pollen out of the air.

What would we do if we didn’t have something to complain about? It’s like talking a bout the weather always changing. Today my tremors are bad! Shaking like a nudist in Alaska! LOL! I am like a junkie looking for his days first fix! My coffee is not turning the trick!

I have done nothing in my flower garden. That was my plan for this weekend Finish cleaning and put in my flowers. Now it doesn’t look good weather wise. So plane B, uh… what was planning B? I am not going to let this weekend turn into a waste! I will just have to wing it. I will keep you posted on my progress.

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, always have a alternate plan that way you wont get stuck when your wife ask you to take care of the kids!

Thursday, April 21, 2005

New Led

Hi gang, hump day is upon us! We are on the down hill side of the coming weekend. I put on my handy man cap yesterday and built me a dove feeder that so far no bird is interested in. I thought I would wake up and find it torn up by the other animals.

I have a lot of doves feeding off the ground that the dogs chase off or the cats catch. So I thought a quick hanging feeder far them would be good. Did I say quickly? Hum… two hours later, I’m still working on this simple project. It’s done but I don’t like it. It didn’t turn out to be what I had in mind. I think I will try another.

Have all of you heard of the new LED light bulbs that will be coming out in the near future. The Led has been around since the 80s but not in white. One of the electronic firms in Japan came up with white. This will revolutionize lighting, as we know today. The incandescent bulb will be a thing of the past. The new bulb is ten times brighter and will last six years! The cost is high now but will come down quick! Just think now you can have mood lighting, blue, red, green and brilliant white!

Thought for the day, truth is as illuminating as light is to darkness!

How do you spell Relief?

Hi gang, I hope every one got of to a good start yesterday. It turned out to be a wonderful day here. Blue skies worm our high was 81* just a grand day to be outside.

We wound up with a threesome yesterday. My buddy Ed had to make a quick trip to Atlanta. His son is a little league coach and was pitching the ball. A kid hit the ball, line drive right between the eyes! Broke his nose and knocked him out. The hauled him off in an ambulance and he spent two days in the hospital! Just goes to show never trust a kid with a bat!

How do you spell relief? For me it’s GOLF! I had a great day and a good round. We saw a lot of birds; on one hole I was getting ready to hit and a big hawk flew right in front of me. Wow what a sight! I saw several different water birds white and gray, fishing along the shoreline. On a par three I had to go fishing too to get my ball! Wound up with a triple. Oh well back to the drawing board!

Thought for the day, mix pain, suffering and anguish with love, joy and forgiveness and you have hope!

Sunday, April 17, 2005

Hi gang, just a short note to let you know I have been thinking of you! Supper last night was great. We had boiled shrimp, potato sallied, baked beans and garlic bread. Needless to say I pigged out and almost detent have room for cherry cheesecake!

Today has been Nascar and golf neither one of the guys I pulled for won! Oh well there’s next week!

Tonight I helped out with bunco at church. We had pizza and Bunco for our alter servers. They had a lot of fun and it was fun watching them. Well this weekend is about shot. Back to work tomorrow. I have a 9:30am T-Time terrible job but some one has got to do it. Might just as well be me!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, Monday is a grand day to work the kinks out from all the rest you got on Sunday. The rest of the week will be a snap!

Spring, Sprang, Sprung

Hi gang, everyone is busy today getting out shopping and cleaning. Some are, out working in the yard and some are like me just messing around! All though I did vacuum the house this morning and swept the back deck. We have oak tree droppings everywhere. Scott just left for ball practice with Megan and her friend from school.

We have been invited out after church tonight for homemade shrimp gumbo! Yahoo, it’s so good. Needless to say I am looking forward to it. Tina did leave on her trip to Houston; I pray all goes well for her. I hope she does at least call and let us know she made it ok!

I have had so many of our Canada friends ask about our blooming spring I went out in the yard and got a few picture for all Especially Joan! …

Drab

Hi gang, it’s the time of week, hope you have lots of plains. Me mine is to try to stay out of trouble! LOL! Megan is bringing home a friend from school for an over night. I told her fine as long as it was he she not a he! She said, PAPA!

Of all things, Tina, Megan’s sister with the three little ones is leaving for Houston Tex. Today with the kids! Her cousin sent her money to come out to visit her! Long way to go with three kids by yourself. We tried to talk her out of it but no way. I don’t know if Texas is ready for the twins!

What do you think of when you hear the word drab? I was listening to a post from a school teacher in China describe the difference between where she lives and Taiwan.
For me it’s hard to think of China as a developing nation. With the history they have they are playing catch up! In the years to come the will be a Super Power!

I suppose by now you have heard about the crack down “OPERATIO FALCON, took place yesterday netting 10,370 criminals! The question is why now? Why not every month? Well think about it. This type of sting takes time to plane and locate these people! I just hope this is not a one shot deal! I bet every crime trial lawyer in the country are smiling for there instant pay raze! Talk about prison overcrowding! We need REFORM bad! Have you ever heard of the caseload our judges are carrying? The criminal is in and out of jail like a revolving door. Most enjoy their stay! Hey three squares, color TV, basketball a gem to workout in! (Get of your soap box) @#%* I just get so mad at people like my x son-in-law who had rather go to jail then take care of his kids!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say, son our country has a lot of problems but you don’t see anyone leaving. They’re killing each other to get in!

EXPECTIONS

Hi gang, I trust every one had a good hump day. It has turned off cool again and is going to be cooler tomorrow morning. I love this time of year; every thing is so bright and new. All the different shades of green, contrast with the new blossoms on the dogwood. The wild flowers are so vivid and scream out to be seen!

Megan’s ball practice was canceled the field was to wet so she spent her evening on the phone. She has about six girls calling and two boys. I found a note on the kitchen table from one of the boys. Every other word was, I love you! I reminded her she is going to be a nun!

Expectations, at this time of your life what do you want? What have you done to prepare far it? Is it realistic? Have you shared it with any one?

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, always be prepared with an attitude of gratitude!

Forecast

Hi gang, Hump day! Your over the hurdle, I hope every one is having a good week. So far it has been fast for me. Haven’t gotten a lot done around the house but have had fun with photo challenge. This week was mailbox. Have you noticed all the different ones in year area? I have a post office box so I have had to go hunting them. Sort of like a treasure hunt, it’s been fun.

I also watched a movie Monday evening. First one in a while, “ The Last Samurai” I liked it. I don’t think it got the revues it should have gotten. Tom put nine months of training in to make that movie.

I have bounced around this week, so if you haven’t heard from me I am coming. I try to say hallow to every one so hang loose! Megan and her best friend are into softball. Scott went to her first practice, and is going again tonight. It would be great if they get him as an asst. coach. Megan and Scott are close. He has gone out of his way to make her happy. At twelve I think she sort of expects him too.

Thought for the day, grandpa use to say son, beware of magic in the spring are you’ll find your self-chasing a dream!

Is it bed Time Yet?

Hi gang, hope every one had a good Monday. We had a storm go through last nigh, lot of lighting and wind 45/50mph gusting. My dogs were up set and couldn’t sleep. You know what that means, neither did I! I got up a 12:30 and went in the living room to the couch. I thought it might be better. Wrong the wind was blowing stuff around and the dogs barked at every little noise! Finally at 3:00am the wind died down and I went back to bed and slept till 6:30am.

I have had may be four hours sleep and I am dragging. Head ach back ach gees what else aches? I was supposed to play golf this morning but canceled out. There was just no way I could play a wet course today!

I have had several of you refer to Allison as my granddaughter! She is my great grand daughter. I have six, and seven grandchildren. Megan is the youngest granddaughter. So when you see young ones those are great!

Also several have asked what Allison is looking at in the picture and I just happen to have a pick. …

Can You Hear Me Now

Hi gang, another don’t blink are you will miss it weekends. I hope all of you had a good one. Blog walking it looks like the old cold and flue bug is still active. My son has another cold and I am hoping I don’t get it. Gees I have had enough for this season.

We wound up with a nice weekend but rain is moving in this afternoon. I no most of you don’t care for golf so I will keep my excitement down to a roar! What a Masters, Chris and Tiger really put on a show. Some of the best golf you will ever see. I felt bad for Chris he played well but came up short. He had his chance at the worlds best and hung tuff with him! Tiger was up and down other wise it have been a run away for him. WHO’S Number One! No doughty!

Here is a pick. Of the Birth Day girl she had a big day! It’s is tuff for a four year old to have so many new toys a clothes! She had a good day. Her mother gave her a new bathing suit and she wore it all day…

Night Out

Hi gang, last day of your weekend take advantage of it. Suppose to be worm and sunny today, right now it looks like it will rain any minute! The Masters is heating up, Tiger is on the prowl! He looked like his old self yesterday, hitting some great shots. Chris DeMarco will have his hands full today. Should be a good match!

We went out last night for a gathering at one of my golf buddies. It was good to get together we had eight couples plus our Pastor and three nuns. Good food warm enough to sit out side, great evening!

Today is Alison’s Birth Day, four years old, and mean as a hornet! I hope to post some picks. Later. I haven’t seen the twins all week so it should be a good day. (Unless they don’t want to watch the Masters) LOL!

Thought for the day, I saw Jupiter and four of its moons last night through a telescope, sure made me feel so small!

Words hurt sometime

Hi gang; it’s that time of the week for you. This one sure went by fast. I don’t have much to say, sort of down in the dumps today. Yesterday I had a new heat pump installed and some more duct work and my wife through a fit. One of her antique dishes got broke and one of the vents she did not want where they put it. So Words flew between us. Course she got her way. I called them to come back out and redo the vent. The broken dish can’t be replaced! Her dad gave it to her. I hate that it got broke; I will never hear the end of it!

Sort of at a stand still in my room, couple of picks. For you…

Water Wings

Hi gang, hope every one had a good hump day. The Masters starts tomorrow or will it? It has rained here most of the day and all this mess is moving toward Georgia! That old song “Georgia on my Mind” will be in the thoughts of a lot of people the rest of the week.

Have you ever been on a sight that you really got into, and couldn’t go back to? That happened to me to day. I was on a photo sight and was intrigued by there work. Pictures printed on cardboard and different kinds of material. Wonderful work! I closed the wrong window and puff it was gone! Later I am going to go into my history and see if I can find the sight.

I love art and I am a picture freak. I have bought more pic. At garage sales. No place to put them and my wife gradually gets rid of them at our annual church sale. I have actually bought back the same pic. Before. LOL! There are so many fine artists in the world that will never be great. This is sad but they do what they are compelled to do.

If I were a wealthy man I would have to have homes all over the world to hold all my art that I love! All artist want to get well paid for their work, which is only right! I feel guilty because if I see something I really like I absorb it into the core of my being. I am complete captivated by it! We sort of become one! Like a paint stroke on the canvas or a chisel mark on the sculpture, it lives and breathes in me so to speak!

Aching Back!

Hi gang, hump day is upon us. Looks like the rain is too. The way things have been going Augusta will have rain Thursday and Friday! The tournament of the year, does any one have voodoo doll to head the rain in another direction. The Masters needs hard greens to make the game interesting. Oh well, Mother Nature will have her way regardless!

I played golf yesterday with the guys. I cleaned out my bag of balls real quick. Normally I have trouble slicing, now I have trouble hocking! I am glade I had old golf balls. Them bogers are expensive.

I am back to clearing again! I have one section about 1/3 of an acre to clear. Cutting by hand, it will take about a month or more, but this side of the creek will be cleared. Across the creek I have about that much more to clear. I would like to get that done this year. Over there is where all the fallen trees are! If you have any land there is always something to clear, cut and burn.

David asked how big is the creek? Dave. It is more like a small branch. They gave it the name ions ago. At one time most of the Boyd’s lived in this area of town.

Vicky wanted to no who I was pulling for in the Masters? Right now the odes on him are 100 to 1! But I sure would like to see him win. I like Fred Funk!

I no you want to no what we did last night for our Aniv. We watched the “Italian Job” ate leftovers and was in bed by 10:30pm! How romantic Hum…

Thought for the day, I am having a heat pump installed this week. There goes the light bill!

Where did it go?

Hi gang I hope every one had a good weekend. I would be hard pressed to tell you where this one went. Not much going on around the creek. Megan came in yesterday morning. Her first words were I am not going off like that again. She was home sick and we missed her to. She said they had one nice day out of a week! Cold and windy and not much to do.

Well today is our anniversary, also my granddaughter in Chicago’s Birth Day. I believe we are going out for supper and a movie, not sure yet. If she has to work over we probably will not go. How many years you ask, this is No. 47!

Alabama Girls

Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new wives duties. The first man had married a woman from Mississippi, and bragged that he had told his wife she was going to do all the dishes and house cleaning that needed done at their house. He said that it took a couple days but on the third day he came home to a clean house and the dishes were all washed and put away.

The second man had married a woman from Tennessee. He bragged that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. He told them that the first day he didn't see any results, but the next day it was better. By the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done, and he had a huge dinner on the table.

The third man had married an Alabama girl. He boasted that he told her that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything, but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye enough to fix himself a bite to eat, load the dishwasher, and telephone a landscaper.

Got to love them Alabama girls!

Thought for the day, grandpa use to say, son a long marriage is like making love on horseback. The bumps are bad but the saddle feels mighty good!

Another Star in the crown of Heaven

Hi gang, hope your weekend is going good! It has been windy all day here. The wind in the trees, sounded likes ocean waves echoing through the house. I haven’t seen any more trees down but I do see another dogwood I didn’t no I had!

I no all of you have heard Pope John Paul II died today around 1:30pm. Another great man has walked into our history. He will be remembered for many things especially his love for the youth of the world! May he R.I.P! The world mourns a great leader of human faith in humanity!

Thought for the day, life has to be taken one step at a time, day by day!
