Good morning all, hard to believe it's Thursday! My granddaughter and her three were down to her mom and made the day 9/6 long day. The twins are a mess, into every thing. My daughter goes back to her doc. today. I hope they get her on track. I think she did sleep last night. After a day with the kids you need to rest! LOL!
MIL had her pacemaker installed but is still not coherent. She has no idea of what is going on. Without the help with her heart she wouldn't survive! All her vital sings are good. They feel she may be in ICU shock! Now looks like a waiting game. Will she come out of it or not! Course the whole family are on edge. Not something to go through however they have no choice!

My wife came in late last night. She was wiped out. Will make an appearance at work and head back to the hospital. She said their want be much of a forth of July this year! I told her we would survive for her to do what she feels she must do! Her and her mom were very close. This is very hard on her but I believe she has accepted the fact, she may not come out of this.

A little good news my new med. is working on my tremors! Side effect is not to good I feel num in my head. My coordination is not to good. However I'm not taking what I suppose to. I cut in in half. I have got to go in for blood work and I will tell the doc. while I am there.

Thought for the day, hot and hummed today. I think I will hang around and watch the electric meter dance around $$$$$!

Good morning all, short update to let you know what is going on on the home front. I brought home my daughter yesterday late afternoon. I still believe something is wrong she can't be still. She is like a cat on a hot tin roof! Sleep very little last night up and down all night. The med. she had trouble with was seriaquil I don't think I will ever find out what put her over the deep end. She goes back to her doctor Friday.

MIL will have surgery today at 11:00am to implant the pace maker. I question this, because she still doesn't know what is going on! My wife hasn't been home since Sunday afternoon. I no by now she is worn out. Their hoping they will put her in a privet room this afternoon. This will make it a little easer for them staying with her.

I did get out and play golf yesterday! Less just say I got out my golf sucked! The only thing I did right was show up! It's a good thing I am not trying to make a living playing golf. I would starve to death! LOL! I love the game, at my age improving a whole lot want be easy!

Thought for the day, every day is a new adventure, I open my heart for the journey!

Hey every one, I hope all had a good weekend. We had just a small shower not enough to settle the dust in the drive. By now you have heard of the golf shot that won the women's US Open. She lived up to her name. Congrads. Birdie Kim!

I am sitting by the phone this morning waiting to here from my wife. Her mom was taken to the hospital yesterday afternoon. She was not felling well at all. Turns out she had a build up of the heart med she was taking! Her heart was up and down all over. The last I heard if she made it through the night she should be coming out of it and become more stable.

Last week was a med. week on Wed. We had to take my daughter to the hospital with a adverse reaction to her meds. She call this morning and said she may not got out till the end of the week! What's the old saying about threes? I am afraid to move!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, there is a reason and a season for everything. Accept the fact, we don't no it all!

Good morning every one, this weekend is going by too fast! We had rain last night, first in over a week. course I washed the car when I came in from the lake . Guarantee it will rain! I got around to see a few of you last night and hope to see the rest of you this morning. I am starting to spend more and more time away fro the putter. I suppose it is just that time of the year. I am behind with my back forty work. should have that last section cleared by now. I sort of stopped when the poison ivy came out. That stuff eats me up!

I want to tell you of a testimony I heard yesterday. Our next door neighbor at the farm, has cancer and has had part of a lung taken out. He also has had a staff infection. He has really been down and out. I don't no him that well. I speak when I see him or his wife.
Cutting grass close to the lake and his property, he waved for me to come over too his boat dock. I did and showed me a fish they have stocked in the lake for elegy. It is a Ashen fish somewhat like our carp. They get four to five feet long and can weigh up to one hundred and fifty pounds. Any way the fish about four ponder was dead and he found it in the dam spillway next to his house . he was very concerned of its death. hopping the water in the lake is ok!

I can see this is going to be longer than I intended sorry!

Any way He looks good but still has cancer. He related to me his bout with his health and how sitting in the bathroom he asked God to just get him back up and moving. to shorten the story, he was down and out his health issues were dragging him to his grave.

The next day he started trying to walk wit a walker in the house then out side the house and today he is taking care of his yard and his mother whose health is bad. He started back to church, got his mom to go to church for the first time in sixty years. He now has his daughter, granddaughter and great-grand son going to church with him. You should see the proud look on his face. Faith was his motivation! He has turned his life over to a much better Doctor and works hard in his yard every day. His place is beautiful!

Thought for the day, faith can work wonders, I am sitting here talking to you Wow!

Hi every one , just a short note to stay in touch. Early start today, half through cutting at ML. I want to get an early start it has been so hot. Cutting yesterday I thought of each of you. I must admit those with problems more than others. This is understandable we want the best for every one. Sometimes we get so caught up in our on problems we forget that we are only one of many with problems.

My prayer for each of you today is that you find peace in your heart this weekend. Look for a chance to be alone for a short while. Like Leslie getting out in the back yard alone for a bit. this does wonders far our spirit. Take advantage of your quite time.

Think of those you love and lift them up in your spirit. You see what you feel is their needs. Our time in this world is short share your love with those you care far and don't forget us who are wishing the best for you and yours!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, always leave a mark even if it is only a row of hey you just cut in the field! Shlome!

Hi everyone, it has been a while since I posted and still don't have much to say. My daughter and son-in-law have gone back to Chicago. We have two weeks and my granddaughter and her three boys will be here from Chicago, she may stay two weeks. We may have to take her home if so I want to go on over to Ohio to see one of my best friends. We will have to wait and see how things go. My wife has a weeding almost every weekend!

My ML is not doing well she is eighty- six, and seams to be going down hill pretty quick. She is to the point some one has got to be with her. So far we have not found a sitter so we are taking turns.
The grass cutting is a weekly project between me and my brother-in-law. If you let it go more than a week it is nee deep and to thick for our small tractors. We have two a 19hp and a 18hp with a bush hog if we have to use it. It is old so we use it sparingly!

We have so much to sell from her estate left from FL. So far we have sold most of the land he had. I still have old radios and tubes to try and sell. He was in radio & TV. Most are very old. I want to get picks and try to sell on e-bay. He also has a lot of coins he collected I want to try and sell. Most are in sets.
He has hundreds of videos he has taken of the family and friends for years. This winter I am suppose to go through them and put some of the stuff on CD. That is a project I am not looking forwarded to.

My doc has changed some of my meds. Through me for a loop so strong! I cut the dosage in half and so far not to bad but feel it in my hade real bad. Always something!

Thought for the day, sitting here I feel the new med. taking effect an my thoughts are jumbled. Rather than think any more I will just say catch you later!

Monday, June 20, 2005

Hi every one, I spent three and a half hours at the doc. office this afternoon. Right now I am not a happy camper. Tired and worn out, I failed my memory test, and I thought I was doing pretty good. Well tomorrow is another day. I have got to schedule blood work and pick up a blood pressure tester. Always something!

I watched dancing with the stars tonight and enjoyed it. They really work to get a routine together.

Thought for the day, the only moment we truly have is the present!

Tuesday, June 14, 2005

Hi every one, I played golf today and it was hot, hot! I got the surprise of my life today and still upset by it! As I was pulling into the golf course a big doe came out of the woods and tried to jump the car and landed on my wind shield. It Scared me so bad and I hate hitting anything. The hood on of the car got scratched up good but the window is not broken. More important I believe the deer was all right just stunned. She sprinted off into the woods. I got this in an e-mail today. David will get a kick out of it. You girls have probably hear this already!

A young guy from Texas moves to California and goes to a big "everything under one roof" department store looking for a job.
The manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?"
The kid says, "Yeah, I was a salesman back home in Texas."
Well, the boss liked the kid so he gave him the job. "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did."
His first day on the job was rough but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down. "How many sales did you make today?"
The kid says, "One."
The boss says, "Just one? Our sales people average 20 or 30 sales a day.
How much was the sale for?"
The kid says, "$101,237.64."
The boss says, "$101,237.64? What the hell did you sell?"
Kid says, "First I sold him a small fish hook. Then I sold him a medium fish hook. Then I sold him a larger fish hook. Then I sold him a new fishing rod. Then I asked him where he way s going fishing and he said down at the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him that twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the
automotive department and sold him that 4X4 Blazer."
The boss said, "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook & you sold him a boat and truck?"
Kid says, "No, he came in here to buy a box of tampons for his wife and I said, 'Well, your wont be doing much around the house this weekend you might as well go fishing!

Thought for the day, playing golf today I discovered the harder I try the worse I get!

Monday, June 13, 2005

Hi every one, time has gotten away from me today. No rain so I got the grass cut it needed it bad. If I had to wait until this weekend I would need a bush hog! I saw on the news the mid west is getting pounded now! I got a feeling this will be a strange weather year. It hit 90* here today. Tomorrow it will be wormer but we are playing golf. First time in two weeks, I hope I haven't forgotten how to act! LOL!

M is having her best friend over far a couple of days. I told her that I never did things like that when I was her age. She looked at me like are you serious! I don't think boys get into things like that or maybe they do, I didn't!

I spent most of my time at the YMCA. Playing pool and ping pong. Our rule was, you could play until you lost then you would wait your turn or do something else. I got to be pretty good at both games. Some times I would go for hours with out loosing. The kids would get so mad at me.
The other thing I did a lot of was swim. Some times from the time they opened the pool till it closed. I would be so hungry when I got home I eat what ever I could find. In those days left over were rare. I don't remember ever going to bed hungry though. I was usually to busy to eat, always on the go.

Thought for the day, I just read an article on voice recognition. It was dictated and wrote with Naturally speaking! We doggie!

Sunday, June 12, 2005

Hey every one, well the weekend is fast coming to a close. I hope all of you have made the best of it. The rain here let up about noon and the sun actually came out. I even got an e-mail asking if we were playing golf or water polo this week1 LOL!
I am dedicating this post to all you girls who drop by I have only a couple of guys stop in. I don't think they will mind. In fact they will get a kick out of it too. So pass it along to you friends to stop by!...

Oh, this is a cutie!! :-)

Subject: For every woman who seeks the truth!

"Lord, I have a problem."

"What's the problem, Eve?"

"I know that you created me and provided this
beautiful garden and all of these wonderful
animals, as well as that hilarious comedic snake,
but I'm just not happy."

"And why is that Eve?"

"Lord, I am lonely, and I'm sick to death of
apples."

"Well Eve, in that case, I have a solution. I
shall create a man for you."
"Man? What is that Lord?"

"A flawed creature, with many bad traits. He'll
lie, cheat and be vain; all in all, he'll give you
a hard time. But he'll be bigger, faster and will
like to hunt and kill things. I'll create him in such a
way that he will satisfy your physical needs. He
will be witless and will revel in childish things
like fighting and kicking a ball about. He won't
be as smart as you, so he will also need your advice
to think properly."

"Sounds great," says Eve, with ironically raised
eyebrows, "but what's the catch Lord?"

"Well...you can have him on one condition."
"And what's that Lord? "

"As I said, he'll be proud, arrogant and
self-admiring...so you'll have to let him believe
that I made him first. And it will have to be our
little secret...you know, woman to woman."
Thought for the day, the harder I try to please the more I'm convinced to forget it!

DITTO
I did the same again today, only six hours. I was saved by a thunder storm!
Thought for the day, make humor part of you day, today I got caught in the rain and stood under a tree smiling!

Wednesday, June 08, 2005

Hi every one, today turned into a work day for me. I cut grass at my ML for six an a half hours today. I didn't even stop for lunch. I was trying to get as much done as I could before the next wave of thunder storms came in. I almost got half of the place cut. Tomorrow I will go back and try to finish. She has fifteen acres but we only cut about eight! the rest is in pine trees. Any way with all the rain my brother -in law has gotten behind so I am trying to help get caught back up.
Needless to say I am tired and sore from riding the tractor for so long. I am hitting the sack early tonight. Hope every one has a great Thursday!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, cutting grass is like washing clothes in a couple of days you have to do it again!

Hi every one, are you ready for hump day! Man this week is moving along fast! I ran across another computer story today to share with you as Apple dumps IBM, IBM announces and aggressive move into the future that will take years to complete if it’s ever completed! … Image hosted by Photobucket.com Sciences and Medicine
IBM Aims To Simulate A Brain
Matthew Herper, 06.06.05, 6:00 AM ET NEW YORK - IBM has embarked on a quest for the holy grail of neuroscience--the far-off goal of creating a computer simulation of the human brain.

When the first mammals evolved from reptiles 200 million years ago, one of the biggest changes was inside their heads. Their brain cells were structured together into columns, an innovation that could be repeated like a computer chip to make larger and more powerful minds-- from mice to cats and dogs to humans.

"This was the jump from reptiles to mammals," says Henry Markram, founder of the Brain/Mind Institute at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne, Switzerland. "It was like discovering a G5 processor or Pentium 4 and just copying it."

Now, Markram is announcing a collaboration with IBM (nyse: IBM - news - people ) to create a computer simulation of these fundamental neurological units, called neocortical columns. The process will involve building a Blue Gene supercomputer with 8,000 processors that can roar along at 23 trillion operations per second. Each processor will be used to simulate one or two neurons. If finished immediately, the machine would be one of the five fastest supercomputers in the world.

A neurocortical column is a structure half a millimeter in diameter and 2 millimeters long that contains about 60,000 neurons. (The human brain is made of 10 billion neurons.) Nobel Prize-winner Torsten Wiesel of Rockefeller University discovered the columns. They remain similar in different mammals, but the human brain is crammed with more of them. It was the need to fit in more columns that forced the human brain into its crinkly, wrinkled shape

Hi gang, hope all is well! I am not going to complain about the rain today it's here to stay. You thought London was bad! I heard on the news today that Greyhound is closing 39 stations in Alabama? Could this be the beginning of the end of a bumpy ride for the bus line...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Field review by the editors.
Hibbing, Minnesota

To be blunt, not many people care about buses. Not even the man who built America's only bus museum cares about buses.

What's that? A bus MUSEUM? In middle-of-nowhere north-central Minnesota? Well, now, THAT's something worth caring about.
Hibbing is the birthplace of the American bus industry. It sprang from the business acumen of Carl Wickman and Andrew "Bus Andy" Anderson -- who opened the first bus line (with one bus) between the towns of Hibbing and Alice in 1914. They figured the region's iron miners would make good mass transit customers. They did, the bus line grew to become Greyhound, and Wickman and Anderson retired as millionaires.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The Government supplemented the bus lines in America in the 30s after the Depression and again in the 70s. They wonted to encourage competition. You see who was left standing. How many remember the Trail ways bus line?

Hi gang, not much going on around the creek. Megan struck out three times last night, so she is not a happy camper. Her sister with the twins, will be getting a divorce. My daughter is so upset she can't eat without throwing up. Me, I wont to find a hole a crawl in it. Because of all of this my wife and I have been short with each other. That's going to make things better! Yea, right!
My wife is the weeding coronate at church and my friend who just moved to Ohio was her helper. It takes two to do the job. Guess who got volunteered! I don't wont to do this, but I will have to until she can get someone.
On a brighter note, I did get my yard cut before the rain moves back in. The ground is so wet, it will not hold any more water. My little creek thinks it's a river! LOL! My granddaughter in Chicago has moved her VC to July to give us a break between visits. We didn't ask but I think the girls got their heads to gather.
Yesterday was sad to see Jack Nickels miss the cut. Another area is coming to an end. His mind knows what to do but his body just can't respond! This may be another Tiger weekend. He has won this venue three times!
Thought for the day, sometime all you can say is been there and done that!

Friday, June 03, 2005

Hi gang, You have made it another week! Plane well for the weekend it will be over before you no it! It has rained here all week! We are suppose to get a break today before it starts again for another week. Today I have got to get the grass cut! It is up over my ankles! Have you ever tried to pick up dog poop in six inch grass? Not fun! Course it's not fun any way but I could be a horse lover instead of dogs! LOL! Every one have a great weekend!
Thought for the day, I told you about my wife having string lights far every month. Well who else has flamingos in their bath room...

Hi gang, I got tagged I think? Another meme!

Cause I love Books

And cause Brenda asked me to, here's another book meme.

Total Number of Books I Own: Believe it or not most of my book are religious about a hundred

The last Book I Bought: Thomas Merton, "Thoughts in solitude"

Last Book I Read: "The Mulberry Tree" Jude Defraud.

The most recent book I started was: "Windswept House" Malachi Martin

Five Books That Mean A lot to Me: "The Bible", St. Teresa of Avail, "John of the Cross", St. Theresa of Lassoer, collected works of Thomas Merton.

I believe I have told you that i was married at sixteen. Never had read a book but my wife was a speed reader. She would finish a large book in a day. Because of her I started reading first since fiction and then some adult books and then I was back in school to get my high school diploma. I quit my senior year. Well I got the degree and went on to college to get a business degree. That was tough, I carried a 3.7 grade avg. And was on the deans list! I keep that pace up far three years. When I was promoted to VP at our company the work load and school was just to much. I had to drop out of school. It hurt, I talked to a canceller and she said I had to choose!

Well to make a long story short I dropped out of school. Within three years I had the company running in the black, The company bank gave me a commendation far the success I had brought the company. In 90 days the CEO sold the company!

How did I get off on this tangent? The only point I wanted to make was through the years my spelling never improved. In grade school i was told to spell the way it sounds. As a results I either add letters or leave them off. As I get older my spelling is getting worse! Words common I am starting to misspell.

I suppose it's ironic that I keep trying. I thought by now we would have PC you talk to and they wood write for you but I belief the tech. Will be video and voice.

Thought far the day, my grandpa use to say son, express yourself if you want to be heard! Later Madana made that into a song! LOL!
