IS THAT ALL THERE IS…

Hi gang well the end is near or is it the start is about to begin? Either way it has been a fast year. We have gone through a lot together haven’t we! Guess what, the best is yet to come.

Something that makes you feel good can’t be bad right! Well in most cases any way. Someone once said if it makes you feel good, “it’s either illegal, immoral or fating!”

Well I will have to admit I have gained weight sitting in front of this Dell so much! There is so much to think about this year. You will be hearing the world in review for the next few days so I ‘m not going to give you high lights.

My family has made it this far in good reasonable health. All have jobs and are surviving. We all would like to have more that is human nature. We have all we need for the present task ahead.

We are blessed and ask blessing on all of you, all those in need, not comprehending tomorrow. What ever your faith! We are still one with our creator.

Is that all there is my friend, then less keep dancing and have a ball!

Thought for the day, my grandpa use to say son, don’t be sad as the last gasp of air leaves the old year. Listen to the birth pains of the new crying for attention, like the soil thirst for the seed!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY BLOGING FRIENDS AND THOSE WHO STOP BY!

Shades of Gray

Hi gang one more day to go. Or if you’re lucky you get off early tomorrow! Either way the count down is on for the New Year.

I plane on settling in early for the occasion. My Dogs hate fire works and every one and his grandmother shoot them out this way. The first one will send them all over me. You have never seen any thing like it. If I can think of it I will try to get a picture.

My granddaughter just came in and wants me to make up a lost dog poster. Her fathering-laws dog’s missing. He is up set! Offering 300.00 rewards, I may go hunt this dog myself!

Thought for the day, we have had gray skies for two days but it has been worm. Makes you feel like a big change is on the way!

Bed Time yet?

Hi gang hump day is comming to close hope it was good to you. To day has been another one of those WHERE DID the day GO DAYS! I have had problems sleeping as of late and it's starting to catch up on me. I find my self-grabbing a few minutes here and there. I thought I made a pope run in my sleep today but when I checked it was still there. I am considering opening my on dog pope fertilizer store.

Looking around today I see every one is starting to look over their year and reflect. Some have a had a good year others no so good. Life in General I suppose. I think I am going to wait till almost midnight Friday to reflect real quickly!

The story continues to unfold in Asia! Awful tribulation!

Thought for the day, did I say goodnight my friends and love ones!

The Winner…

Hi gang every one had a good day, didn’t you! It warmed up hear today, mid fifty’s. How ever the wind was cold. I had the dogs out running a couple of times today they had a ball. Buddy loves to chase anything. He’s so much bigger than the other dogs; they get out of his way!

Bouncing around reading the news today, Asia is still a major world concern. I enjoy keeping up with science and the unknown. I ran across a story that has been unfolding for twenty years.

Gravity May Lose Its Pull

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory physicist was looking over data from two Pioneer spacecraft that had been speeding through the solar system for nearly a decade.
Only something was off base. The craft weren't where they were supposed to be.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory physicist was looking over data from two Pioneer spacecraft that had been speeding through the solar system for nearly a decade.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory physicist was looking over data from two Pioneer spacecraft that had been speeding through the solar system for nearly a decade.
Only something was off base. The craft weren't where they were supposed to be.
Rather than traveling at a constant velocity of more than 25,000 mph toward the edge of the solar system, Pioneers 10 and 11 were inexplicably slowing down. Even factoring in the gravitational pull of the sun and its other planets couldn't explain what he was seeing.
How could that be?
At first, Anderson figured there must be a simple explanation. Maybe there was a malfunction on board the spacecraft. Maybe his calculations were wrong.
Shy, bookish and soft-spoken, Anderson was not the type to call a news conference to announce that two U.S. spacecraft appeared to be disobeying the physical laws of the universe.
"I assumed something was going on that I didn't understand," said Anderson, now 70. "So I just kept at it."
For years.

If you like science or just curious this is a grate article check it out!

Also today the female athlete of the year was announced…

Small wonder then, that what was an average year for golfer Annika Sorenstam was more than good enough to earn her recognition as The Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year for the second year running

She won early and often, and often by overwhelming margins. She won on four continents - in Australia, Sweden and Japan and in six of the 50 United States. She won a major, the most money and a remarkable 10 times in just 20 starts worldwide.

She is amazing, to read full story!

Thought for the day, as our world gets smaller every year, so do we in comparison!

Rambling Rose

Hi gang hope every one has had a good day. Old’ blue Monday bounced right on by. I must have blinked or something cause I sure don’t know where it went. Days like this remind me of something I should have done and didn’t.

I remembered what I was supposed to do, my wife told me to hang some towels on the back deck to dry. Five hours later I hung them out. They never did dry I told her the sun just wasn’t warm enough today, so I put them in the dryer!

The dogs are talking to me again. I had to promise to lock them in the den next time the Twins come. Buddy wanted to take them out and berry them. You should see the wholes he has dug!

My granpa use to say son, if you get a dog that loves to dig, put him to work in the tater patch!

Thought for the day, Brenda’s hub has gone hunting for three days! Just not right for here to be so HAPPY!!!!

NONo
NO!

Hi gang, just a few lines to let you know I am thinking of all of you! What a day, nice one though! We had three of our four kids here today. Three grandchildren and three great grand. All went well but the dogs don't want to see them for a long while. The twins know no fear! I bet I heard NO,NO,NO,a hundred times. The little buggers just laugh run off, come back and do it again. We have so many toys here for them we look like Toys are Us! You think they will play with them! Ha... The broom, dogs, paper sacks they had a ball!

Thought for the day, my thoughts are with those in Asia who suffered a great loss today! May they rest in Pease.

Ho Ho, Man am I Full!

Hi gang I hope every one has had a great day! Man do I fell like Santa after eating all those cookies and drinking all that milk. Every Holiday I say I am not going to eat too much! Ha fat chance, as I float back for seconds. I tell myself just a little bit but I forget by the time you get a little of every thing I have another plate full! Duh!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve at Church last night. My grand daughter brought the twins and Allison to church to surprise us. What a gift! It was a great evening. The three of them were good! We sat with one of my best friends family. It turned out to be a special blessed evening.

Today we all gather at my in-laws for dinner and presents. Feeding 16 people is a chore especially when they eat like me! I could not help but think how many trees it took far all the x-mass paper we used and then put out to be burned! What a waste! I saved all the pretty sacks, all different sizes. I just couldn’t throw them out!

Thought for the day, as I looked out the window at the blazing sun sating in the trees I thought of all of you and how blessed we are! May there be peace on earth tonight!

Can you here me now

Hi gang missed a whole day! I felt so bad I went to doctor yesterday and got a shoot and some meads. Turns out I have picked up a flu bug! Nasty bugger. Hurting all over and felt like someone was pulling my spine out of my lower back. All I did was sleep yesterday. I feel some better today. I told the Doc. I knew I was not dying, cause I would have to feel better to die! The nurse came in to give me a shoot and said where do you want it. I told her to pick a spot ,I was not moving!

Any way I thank all of you for your well wishes! Have a wonderful Christmas!

Thought for the day, I remember how excited I was on Christmas eve. I didn't think I would ever go to sleep. May all those who have little to be excited about find Pease this Christmas eve!

Yuck!

Hi gang thank all of you for you well wishes. I believe I have sines problems rather than a migraine. Today I got up with a scratched throat and blowing yellow YUCK stuff out my noise! My head feels like it is a barrel of water.

I started out hours ago to talk to you for a minute and all I have done is go from one of toy to another. My how time flies when you do that. I still don't feel all that well be this too will pass!

Thought for the day, my granpa use to say, son if you don't feel good think about those that are relay sick must feel! Never did make me feel better!

What Rabbit Whole

Hi gang hope every one is up and at am this morning! I’m up, that’s about it. I have one of those head ach you guys talk about so often. That combined with the ringing in my ears is almost unbearable! It sure does a number on my trimmers. I want to talk to you but I can’t think stright, so rather than bore you with my truffles I will say until we meat again happy trails to you!

Thought for the day, I looked around confused and said what rabbit whole as I was spiraling deep into the ground!

Empty

Good morning gang it is cold! How cold, glade you asked it is so cold my dogs want to use inside plumbing today! I believe we hit 16* pretty cold for around here. Guess what, tomorrow is suppose to be 60*! Go figure!

It is bad when the highlight of you thoughts is the WEATHER! Well some days it is hard to think and type at the same time! Duh! The count down is on for Saturday! I no most of you are well prepared way in advance so no big rush for you but there are those who are still thinking about it YOU NO WHO YOU ARE!

I read an article about emptying self to receive Christ this Christmas. This made me think about the old antic is the bottle half full or half empty? We all see things from a different perspective based on our unique input from our store of experience and knowledge.

How can we prejudge someone on their opinion or believe if we have no idea what that persons store room holds? With this in mind I suggest you empty your self of all preconceived data and fill you self with pure love for one another this holiday season. Let not race, sex, religion or politics blind you of the true meaning of Christmas. That is EMANUEL!!!

Thought for the day, I thought I was half empty until I listened to your story!

DID YOU HAVE TO…
Hi gang and good morning! I got in to late to talk to you last night. My wife’s best friend had an x-mass party at there home last night 8 couples and our parish Pastor. As usual I eat too much, drank too much and talked too much.

She makes the most tantalizing wonderful Shrimp Gumbo! My best friends wife makes the most sinful Cherrie Cheese Pie! I just about floated home. It was so good! I envied myself back for leftovers. Oh yea, I brought home a small piece of the pie it weighed about a pound and a half! I checked on it this morning o make sure no grubby little hands got into it!

One of my best golf buddies just came back from Ohio on the border of Michigan and they got the lake effect! From Lake Superior. For those of you who don’t know what the Lake effect is here is a pic. Of the guest- house they stayed in…

I asked him if he had to take a pic. Of all that snow and send it to me! They had 19” in two days. I hope he left it up there! This morning his family left for Orlando Disney World for ten days! Poor frozen guy!

Thought for the day, I toasted all of you last night, have a wonderful Christmas week!

Friday, December 17, 2004

Hi gang the weekend rush is on! I hope everyone has had a fantabulus week. This is your last weekend to do your x-mass shopping. Although most of you are through! You are the lucky ones. Those who put off to the last minute wont find exactly what they want and will be forced to take the leftovers. Man have I been caught in that trap before, not fun.

There is no wander we grow old so fast with all the hurry this a hurry that. We rush to eat we rush to work. We rush the kids here and there. Most of can’t stand the thought of slowing down. The computer is a prime example! With all that in mind take note…

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. “An idle mind is the devil’s work shop.” And the drivel’s name is Alzheimer’s.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. Be alive while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love. Weather it’s family pets keepsakes, music, and plants, hobbies, whatever. You home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the next county: to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

This came out of my wife’s hometown paper, The Elgin Revue Petersburg, Nebraska.

Hi gang not a bad hump day was it. I have laughed so much the last couple of days at you guys, my jaw is sore! I saw today that several of you are reading books. Where do you find time to read? I am still reading The Stand. I have been reading on and off for months. I am just a little past half way and the darn thing seems to have gotten thicker! I enjoy reading but I am a slow reader, when I try to speed up I can't remember what I've read. All suggestions will be aprased!

To Good To Keep

Hi gang blue Monday is down and in the books of yesterday! I hope all had a good day. Believe it or not I got out of the house today and did some running around. Then surprise! I dropped by my wife's office and took her to lunch. She said I know you are not feeling good but you are just plain sick! I come on strong ever once in a while when she least expects it.

Ever once in a while I run across a story ju_st t_o go_od t_o ke_ep...

63 & PREGNANT

A woman went to the doctor's office where she was seen by one of the
new doctors, but after about 4 minutes in the examination room, she burst
out, screaming as she ran down the hall.

An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was, and she
told him her story. After listening, he had her sit down and relax in
another room.

The older doctor marched down the hallway to the back where the
younger doctor was and demanded, "What's the matter with you? Mrs.
Terry is 63 years old, she has four grown children and seven
grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?!"

The younger doctor continued to write on his clipboard and without
looking up said, "Does she still have the hickups

Thought for the day,not much suppresses me anymore except the hickups!

Day of Rest

I gang another one bites the dust! Age old story, can’t wait for the weekend to get here and poof it’s gone! I hope every one has had a good one. I am starting to see a lot of wonderful pictures of all your decorations. Some of you are really getting into it.

When the children were small we would drive around looking at all the x-mass lights. This was a spill over from my child hood. In the town I grew up in there was a subdivision (wasn’t called that back then it was a neighborhood.) Any way this area had huge expensive homes and servants to take care of them. They would all put on an x-mass display that was amazing to small eyes and big people too!

I noticed last night driving home I saw a lot of homes all light up. I think I will try to get all the grand and great grand together for a ride looking at bright colored lights. Ties the season you know!

Last note today is always referred to as a day of rest Scott and I hunkered down and sleep right through golf! Reminds me of the old days when I would sleep through the football game! I did here the spot caster say Tiger wins!

Thought for the day, I wander how many people still take time to chill out?

Saturday, December 11, 2004

But what if?

Hi gang I am running way behind again. Yap it's Saturday! Church, supper with friends and as usual just not enough time. We speak of it to each other every day. Think about it! It is true, do we control it or does it control us?

The older you get the more you are conches of time. It almost becomes an obsession to get done what you want to do. There never seams to be enough time. I often wander about the great inventors and thinkers stating they sleep very little to have more time.

I made the statement that in the twilight of my years I have come to terms with X=MCsq. Think of his theorem now what if you could jump into quantum hyper space. Would you start to get younger as time progresses or would you still die of old age! Hum... I AM TRYING TO Co-exist with that I have no control of. To become one with the movement of time. Contemplative, dying to self, and become one with the totally
other!

Can this be done in our secular world? Yes but not by your self nor can it be grasped but only infused and shared. Time to us is fleeting but this will not always be so. The knowledge is there to be taped of how to exist in a zone yet discovered.
The future holds many wonders to those with eyes to see and a will to understand. Mankind must find new ways of discovery! New ways of thinking and seeing things.

I have gotten of on a tangent that know one is interested in. Some day you may be as the years go by!

Thought for the day," and He said behold I make all things new!"

Pony Tail

Hi gang Friday evening is finally here fir you. I hope every one has had a good day. I have not said but I have watched Tiger in the Target Challenge for the last two days. Two more to go. He looks good but so does Monty!

I ran across an interesting article today. If you like art and I do. It is about a 19 year old girl that Pablo Pasco met . Sylvette David experienced sudden fame in the 1950s, when Picasso asked her to sit for him and she became the subject of more than 40 works. Anthony Harrison hears her story at the ancient Provençal farmhouse where she has finally found peace. Pablo and the ponytail

I DID NOT KNOW THAT

Hi gang I thought Monday went by fast! I have no idea where today went. I have a pretty sat retune, first e-mail, news, blog and comments maybe a little blog walking to see what is going on. By this time I have blown four to five hours or the equivalent of a round of golf. I don’t know which goes faster golf or bloging.

More thins I DIDN”T KNOW today. Are you aware we have search engines now that monitor you research, make a folder for it and scans the web for like material! The engine remembers your searches puts them in a folder in case you need to go back so for this service is free. There is a battle going on now over who has the best search engine.

Also, look at this picture. Unless you have already seen it you would never guess what it is?

How did I do that

Hi gang where did the week end go too. This has been another one of those days where it has been a flash! I started of with the Sunday paper and progresed to books trying to figure how I got my pictures all blured? The more I do on this puter the less I seam to know. I got a ton of questions and so for few answers. My daughter says I read that some where dad! Hum... good for her! HOW DO YOU FEX IT!

One good thing I have not had in twentu-five years, my wife made her Italian beef today! Need less to say Onk Onk! Yep I did! She has not lost the touch. (I got to get in the dog hous more often!)

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

Hi gang, I am running late tonight. We went to church, supper, and watched Auburn winthe SEC championship! What a night, I thought Tennessee was going to come back and take it but Auburn hung in there! They have had a great year not to get a shot at the National Title!

The other day I posted a big word and only one person asked about it. So Leslie this is for you.
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia (sesquippedaliophobia for short) is the fear of long words.

Thought for the day, my best friends wife called me today and told me I had better join them for supper tonight. My granpa use to say son never argue with a big woman!

Here a lot lately!

yap that's me in the dog house again! Some how I have found it easy to get in and hard to get out of! You ask what did I do this time? Glade you asked, I was suppose to go to our community xmas party I did not feel like going so I stayed home and my wife went. Not a good way to start a weekend.

Any way hi gang, hope all of you have a good weekend. If you have an extra blanket...!

Thought for the day, my granpa use to say son, if you find yourself in the dog house take the good Book with you not the Playboy!

He Bites

Hi gang hard to believe it is Friday already! Has it been a quick week for you? We were supposing to do the exams tree tonight but it got put on hold. The twins came by and Megan went shopping with her sister.

Robert and Josh are growing like weeds and heavy! Complete opposite from each other. Robert looks for something to get into and Josh will find something to play with and be content.

I was looking at the newspaper and Robert came over and sort of lay on my leg. The next thing I knew he was starting to sink his teeth in! I yield oh no you don’t and pushed him away. I started reading again and here he was coming at me again. My granddaughter yelled HE BITES papa!

Thought for the day, I tried to bite once, my mom took care of that real quick!

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

Hi gang hope everyone had a good humpday. I have spent the day playing with a new IP. I am thinking of moving to bellsouth net from msn. Half the cost is a big factor plus we hope to get dsl through Bell. Not bad but not good eather. I had to call them. Yep still got problems. When on sing off I cant use the phone until I go on standby or turn the puter off? Oh well tomarrow is another day.

Thought for the day, what does it take to get in the mood for xmass!
